Ranger

Ranger combines bow pressure, melee capability, nature spells, tracking-style utility, and hybrid invocation access. It can attack from range while preserving a functional melee and support package.

Overview

Damage Profile

See Melee, Spells, and the class details below for the delivery families this class supplies.

Multiclass Function

The class contributes its skills, spells, passives, stance access, and invocation access to the active loadout; overlapping mechanics use their own cap and stacking rules.

Strengths by Level Range

These breakpoints identify spells, abilities, or skills that materially change the class’s damage, control, recovery, or group value. They are highlights rather than a complete spell list.T2

Levels 1–19

  • Early healing and fire damage establish the hybrid damage pattern (1: Minor Healing, 3: Flame Lick, 16: Light Healing).
  • Flame Lick supplies an early damage-over-time effect while Minor Healing and Light Healing preserve melee or archery uptime.

Levels 20–34

  • Ranged interruption, sustained damage, stronger healing, and movement support arrive together (20: Disrupting Shot, 25: Stinging Swarm, 28: Healing, 28: Spirit of Wolf).
  • This is an important damage-utility breakpoint because the Ranger can interrupt without abandoning ranged positioning, then maintain pressure through Stinging Swarm.

Levels 35–50

  • Late damage, recovery, self-buffing, and hate control support long ranged engagements (38: Greater Healing, 40: Swarm of Pain, 46: Scorching Arrow, 48: Wolf Form, 49: Call of Flame, 50: Jolt).
  • Ranged Stance and Spellblade access make Ranger a strong bridge between bow attacks, combat abilities, and triggered spells.

Multiclass Synergy Boundaries

What stacks
Distinct skills, spells, passives, pets, utility, and stance/invocation access can combine when their own stacking rules permit.
What does not automatically stack
Duplicate crowd control, avoidance skills, buffs, and cap-based mechanics do not become additive merely because two classes grant them.
Evaluation method
Identify the mechanic supplied by Ranger, link to its canonical rule, then compare marginal value against the other two active classes.
