Focus Effects
Focus Effects are passive item modifiers evaluated against a spell’s internal eligibility limits. This page documents focus categories, tier boundaries, Exaltation transfer rules, and a method for selecting effects without treating tier numbers as universal formulas.
Focus Exaltations
Raise the source item to +1
Combining duplicate items unlocks the Focus Exaltation slot and exposes the source focus as a removable effect.
Remove the Focus Exaltation
The original item loses the focus while the Exaltation is removed; it can be returned later.
Choose a compatible destination
The destination must share the source equipment slot and at least one eligible class with the Focus Exaltation.
Verify the resulting restrictions
The inserted Exaltation can narrow the destination item's usable classes and carries its source-slot restrictions.
The same +1 threshold is required both to extract a focus from its original item and to expose the Focus slot on the destination item. T2
