Evasive Stance

Evasive Stance is a martial stance whose value depends on the build's damage schedule, Endurance budget, and encounter pressure.

Overview

System

Stance

Class access

Bard, Beastlord, Monk, Ranger, Rogue

Primary value

Short emergency avoidance and cast-recovery windows

Tradeoff

Rapid Endurance loss under concentrated attacks

Current Effect

Provides a 95% chance to evade incoming attacks while sufficient Endurance remains; evaded damage consumes Endurance and the stance fails while playing dead. T2

Build Synergy

Evasive is unusually valuable in hybrid builds with lifetaps, heals, roots, or escape tools. A low-health character can evade long enough to cast back toward safety instead of spending the same window being interrupted or killed.

Tactical Use

Treat it as an emergency mode, not permanent mitigation. Swap in at low health, stabilize with lifetaps or heals, then return to a damage or recovery stance.

Verification Boundary

Tooltip values and class access are current-reference data. Exact event ordering, rounding, resource-cost scaling, and interactions not explicitly named by the tooltip remain subject to combat-log testing and balance changes.
