Over Channel Invocation

Over Channel Invocation is a magical invocation whose value depends on class composition, resource constraints, and the selected spell rotation.

Overview

System

Invocation

Class access

Bard, Beastlord, Cleric, Druid, Enchanter, Magician, Necromancer, Paladin, Ranger, Shadow Knight, Shaman, Wizard

Primary value

Landing spells against resistant targets

Tradeoff

Consumes Endurance without increasing damage when the spell would already land

Current Effect

Applies a −150 resist adjustment plus another −15 per non-hybrid caster class and charges 10% of spell Mana cost as Endurance. T2

Build Synergy

Over Channel is strongest for high-value charm, mez, root, slow, stun, DoT, and nuke casts against resistant named or raid targets. Pure-caster stacking increases the resist adjustment further.

Tactical Use

Use it when resists are the binding constraint. Empowering or Arcane Mastery generally produces more output when land rate is already high.

Verification Boundary

Tooltip values and class access are current-reference data. Exact event ordering, rounding, resource-cost scaling, and interactions not explicitly named by the tooltip remain subject to combat-log testing and balance changes.
