Spellblade Invocation

Spellblade Invocation is a magical invocation whose value depends on class composition, resource constraints, and the selected spell rotation.

Overview

System

Invocation

Class access

Beastlord, Paladin, Ranger, Shadow Knight

Primary value

Adding spell events to weapon attacks

Tradeoff

Consumes two resources and depends on proc frequency and eligible spell selection

Current Effect

Treats spell gem one as a weapon proc. Current values charge 40% of the spell cost as Mana and 20% as Endurance; the spell reuse time must be no greater than its base cast time. T2

Build Synergy

Fast weapons, attack-speed effects, DEX, and high melee uptime create more proc opportunities. Lifetaps add sustain, stuns add control and hate, and direct-damage spells add burst. Spell upgrades also apply when Spellblade triggers an upgraded spell.

Tactical Use

Place an eligible spell in gem one and select it for the encounter: lifetap for sustain, stun or hate spell for tanking, and direct damage for burst.

Verification Boundary

Tooltip values and class access are current-reference data. Exact event ordering, rounding, resource-cost scaling, and interactions not explicitly named by the tooltip remain subject to combat-log testing and balance changes.
